Beautiful Quilt-Little Pink Flower- Medium-Size

Both sides of this gorgeous 100%Cotton quilt are smothered with pink flowers. On one side the background is a heavenly blue so the effect is striking.The other side the pink flowers and green leaves sit on a white background creating a lighter effect. Gorgeous borders are often a feature of Indian Quilts and this is a good example. There are intricate patterns of zigzags and flowers which are very pretty, forming the border to this quilt. 

When you consider that these designs have all been carved into a block of wood which they  use to print on the fabric which makes the Quilt, you will agree that the skill of these craftsmen and women is remarkable.

Indian Block Printed Quilts are made with many processes. First the design is carved onto a wooden block which will be used to stamp the design onto the cloth which is the finest   muslin. Each colour is printed on separately. After the quilt is made it is filled with cotton wadding and lightly stitched by hand to preserve the soft fluffy nature of the quilt. 

We recommend you use with a sheet underneath so that you don't need to wash your quilt so regularly.
