Beautiful Quilt -Alexandra-Medium

A lovely 100% Cotton Quilt,this one called Alexandra, is in warm tones,in fact there are four colours used. It is unusual because that means four printings as it is only possible to print one colour at a time.The colours are very pleasing and the border is attractive. 

On one side the pattern is all over and close, on the other side there are medallions of flowers. Both backgrounds are white. 

This size of throw is very adaptable and can be used on a sofa or to cuddle under whilst watching a movie with a glass of wine-the uses are endless!  

Indian Block Printed Quilts are made with many processes. First the design is carved onto a wooden block which will be used to stamp the design onto the cloth which is the finest   muslin. Each colour is printed on separately. After the quilt is made it is filled with cotton wadding and lightly stitched by hand to preserve the soft fluffy nature of the quilt. 

We recommend you use with a sheet underneath so that you don't need to wash your quilt so regularly.
